  • CAN I GET WAXED IF I'M PREGNANT?
    Absolutely. Waxing during pregnancy is generally safe. We are used to making our pregnant clients feel as comfortable as possible during their waxing experience. Immediately after waxing, avoid harsh sunlight and tanning. For 24 hours, you might want to skip exercise and products with chemicals, perfumes, and dyes. You can apply a pregnancy-safe moisturizer the next day. Melasma, also called pregnancy mask, is a common skin condition that causes brown or greyish patches of skin to form on a pregnant woman’s face. Women who have melasma are typically told to avoid waxing those areas. Waxing can irritate the skin and cause melasma to get worse. If you have this condition I will not provide wax services.
  • HOW LONG CAN I EXPECT MY WAXING TO LAST?
    If you’ve allowed your hair to grow out to the proper length prior to waxing, you can expect to be hair-free for a minimum of 1-2 maximum of 3-6 weeks following your appointment .
  • WHAT SHOULD I WEAR TO GET A BRAZILIAN OR BIKINI WAX?
    Whatever makes you comfortable. We will provide complimentary disposable underwear for your use.
  • WHY WAX IN THE FIRST PLACE?
    Waxing vs. Shaving. Consider waxing because it actually lasts much longer than shaving, it pulls the hairs from the root – no stubble and your skin is so smooth! It is very important to avoid shaving between waxing appointments. Shaving will stimulate the hair growth again. With waxing you will not have cuts and nicks that often come with shaving. Also, with regular waxing your new hear will become finer and grow slower!
  • CAN I WAX WITH KELOID SKIN?
    If you are genuinely prone to keloid or hypertrophic scarring please understand thoroughly that there is a risk of skin trauma resultant from waxing, it is your decision to go ahead with the treatment. Please advised prior to waxing services if you have Keloid skin. Normally as long as the wax temp is not to hot waxing is a better option for you verses the risk of shaving, which may cause scar tissue from cutting. Recent scar tissue– You would need to wait 6 months until you have waxing over scar tissue. This is so the natural healing process takes place as waxing could interfere with the healing process and might be more painful.
  • WHAT AREAS CAN BE WAXED?
    Most areas on the body can be waxed, as long as the hair will allow. Such as the eyebrows, upper lip, chin, arms, back, chest, stomach, legs, bikini area, and the genital area.
  • HOW TO PREPARE FOR WAX APPOINTMENT?
    Be sure you have at least a 1/4 inch of hair growth, 1/2 inch for course hair. That is about a week to 2 weeks of hair growth after shaving. Exfoliating with a loofah or exfoliating gloves the day before waxing is suggested for less pain at the appointment. If it’s your first time please let us know and we will walk you through every step at the appointment. If you are sensitive you may want to take a tylenol prior to appointment.
  • HOW LONG DOES WAXING TAKE?
    This depends on what you are getting waxed, and how much hair is present. An appointment can take from about 15-20 minutes (eye brows) to an hour or more (several areas). We pride ourselves in removing all hair as requested this will require patience and applicable time.
  • WILL WAXING HURT/ WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT?
    The pain associated with waxing differs from person to person and their genetic makeup. One person may have several nerve endings in one area, while another may not. If you have a sensitive skin, remember that any pain is very minor and very temporary. Everyone’s skin reacts differently to waxing, typically you can expect to have temporary redness and minor irritation for a day or two. Try to avoid heavy exercise that will increase perspiration and chaffing for about 24-48 hours after waxing. The end results are beautiful, hairless, clean skin
  • WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF A FACIAL?
    Facials deep cleanse the skins pores, reduce their size, remove dead skin and reveal smoother even toned skin.
  • CAN I GET A FACIAL WITH SENSITIVE SKIN?
    Yes of course ! In fact they need facials the most. Debris and oils in the deepest layers of sensitive skinned people can cause havoc if not cleared out with the help of facials. People with sensitive skin report fewer breakouts after facials.
  • BY WHOM CAN PERFORM A FACIAL
    Facial is always done by license full specialist or estheticians. They are qualified to understand the requirements for every skin type.
  • CAN MAKEUP BE USED AFTER A FACIAL?
    Yes. But with the glow and radiance after a facial, you might reconsider applying makeup. Facials leave a natural glow on the face for weeks
  • WHAT IS A BASIC FACIAL?
    A basic facial comprises of assessing the skin type and condition. After that, steam, soft brushes and hot towels are used to deep cleanse the face, neck and shoulder area. It helps to get rid of dirt from the deepest layers of the skin without irritating it. After cleaning, the skin is toned with fine toners and a facial masque is applied as per ones skin type. The last part is applying a hydrating moisturizer and recommending ways to maintain the skin.
